Rudi brings more than 40 years of varied business experience to his customers. He held positions in finance, technical, sales, marketing, supply chain, project management, business management and most recently business and supply chain consulting at Du Pont’s European headquarters in Geneva. Except for a short period running a small company all of his experience comes from working in many of Du Pont’s business units.
Rudi left Du Pont at the end of 2001 to focus on Theory of Constraints consulting. Since then he has been a part of Goldratt Consulting (2003-2005). Between 2005 and 2008 he again worked as an independent consultant. Since 2008 is Business Development Director for VISTEM GmbH & Co KG in Germany.
He is the author of the article ‘You Can’t Spot Serious Shareholder Value? Check your Paradigms.’ This essay won the PricewaterhouseCoopers prize for the best article on the subject ‘Can you Spot Serious Shareholder Value?’ You can obtain a copy on request.
The essay is a reflection of his adoption of Goldratt’s Theory of Constraints (TOC) to help clients not just improve, but achieve a step change in their (bottom line) results. He applies TOC constraint management across all business functions although customer demand causes an emphasis on project management and the supply chain (production and distribution). Using TOC critical chain project management Rudi, and his VISTEM colleagues have helped businesses implement projects more quickly, reliably meet project due dates and find the capacity to do more without the necessity of adding resources. Projects pay for themselves much more quickly; business results are much improved.
